Today when we were coming home I spotted these beautiful tulips. Of course the shot I got (you know as we buzzed by) wasn't very good. So....Tom said would you like me to go around the block so you can get a better picture??..sweet... Then we spotted more things to take pictures of (which I'll show you tomorrow) and how we finally got back to these gorgeous tulips!!! Aren't they pretty?? Red and "Yellow"!
Our lilacs are starting to bloom, even if it's small..tomorrow they probably will be in full bloom..I cannot wait!! The fragrance in the air will be AMAZING! I have a question for you..(if you have them where you live) is there more fragrance with the white, lilac or dark purple ones??
We put out some safflower seeds and the Mourning Doves just love it! And I love them, and am always happy to see them in our yard. Do you have them??
Now..look at the cute little Cotton Tail! It was 94 degrees yesterday, I spotted him/her digging a hole in the garden and laying in it, trying to stay cool. The last picture shows his/her "cotton tail".. smile.. Tom was right..it really is a cotton tail!!
Today was another warm one..it was 86 degrees. However, tomorrow is to be only be 68 degrees! Yeah..in a lot of ways..now back to normal temperatures!!!

The tulips are so bright and cheerful! Thanks to Tom for going around again, so that we can all enjoy these beautiful flowers. I don't know about lilac. It all seems quite a strong perfume to me.

Gert, Our Spring was forever coming and now it's all quirky...chilly then hot. Just thankful it didn't snow here like in South Dakota. I saw the lilac bush where we used to live yesterday, it's white and I could smell it while I took pictures. Your Tom is so understanding about you taking pictures, bless his heart. We have doves and I slip and call them pigeons once in a while and Ted just laughs at me.:) I love all our birds but the starlings and hawks. I spotted a bluebird couple last evening and I fear the sparrows have taken over the houses we had for them. Enjoy your weekend, xoxo,Susie
you were warmer than we were in texas yesterday! thankfully, though, we had some rains which we needed desperately.
i wish we had lilacs here. they don't grow in this hot climate. i bet the original purple is the strongest smelling. :)
Wow you've got some warm weather going on there. Ours has cooled down (again) but by the middle of the month we should be enjoying lots of sunny days.
The Lilacs here have bloomed now and blossoms are falling. My mom has a French Lilac and it's scent is really strong (I'm allergic) but hold my breath when I'm outside near it during the blooming period.
May I just say that little Cottontail is so cute and the Tulips were lovely. Glad hubby drove back around the block for you.
