Free items and more

I saw this house the other day....what do you think...maybe overkill?? lol Looked like they love Halloween! smile..

Don't these clouds look like a ripple effect?? ..That's why I call them ripple clouds..

I was thinking the other day about "free" things. (yes, I know these beautiful clouds are a free gift from God! smile...)

Okay...my list contained free items from McDonalds...such as 'when you buy 5 latte's you get one 'free'! Now with their Monopoly game, when you buy different items you get some little game pieces. We had two the other day. Tom got a 'free' McFlurry and I got a 'free' yogurt and fruit! And then there is Panera Bread! By joining their club..I got a free coffee or drink for a month!!! Then there are free sandwiches every once in awhile and a sweet treat! Then there is Chilie's. Love that restaurant!!! By joining their club they send out coupons for either a 'free' appetizer or dessert. Oh, and that dessert is to die for!!!! Then there is Papa Johns..when you order so many pizza you get a 'free' one!!

There is Staples...you can so many different things 'free' from them. The other day we went in and I got a free ream of paper!! The last on my list is Menards! They have lots of rebate items. The other day I had a check from them for over $11, which you have to spend in their store. Course that's never an issue for us as that is where we 'always' get out bird seed and dog treats. smile..

Do you ever get into these things?? Joining a restaurant club and or taking the time to mail in rebates??

Hope you're having a good week! Pssst: Tomorrow is my sweet loving man's 75th birthday!!!

I have never joined any of those things but our Walgreen's has a bonus card and for every so many points you get $5 for free...and of course we all have those supermarket cards where you sometimes get free stuff.

I LOVE those ripple clouds, too! xo Diana

Gert, I like "free" . That's a plus when you get older too...discounts. The Halloween house..eek..there's a house north of here that does over-kill for sure..and it stays up till almost Christmas..Now mind you, I do not care that people decorate...but gosh get it down after the holiday is over. I think it's just LAZY. LOL xoxo,Susie

Good Morning Gert, How are you this sunny chilly morning? It may be 39 but we have sunshine. I use coupons, free things, and senior discount. It all helps when you are on a fixed discount. I like fall decorations if it is not to extreme and sometimes they do that. Hope your other half doesn't read your comments, but tell him Happy Birthday tomorrow for me. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

Happy Birthday wishes to Tom!

I have a grocery store card that enables 15 cents off per gallon of gas when 150 points are earned. We use those points, too!

Have a great Wednesday! Will there be cake?:-)

Free is always good.

Hello Gert!
I love your cloud photos. You have beautiful open skies around your way.
I hope you are feeling much better from your neck problem.
We have discounts and now and then buy one get one free offers. We do get a discount on petrol from the supermarket docket (if we spend $30 plus). I get a free coffee after six bought ones in one of the department stores here. Sounds like you have some good freebies there!
We don't really celebrate Halloween much here. Think it must be an American tradition.
Hope you are having a good week and best wishes to Tom for a happy day tomorrow:)

That house really gets the treatment for Halloween doesn't it! I remember my mom hanging clothes out too...I always loved the smell of fresh laundered clothes! My grandmother had a wringer washer when I was a kid but it disappeared as she joined the new generation of machines that had become the favorite. She had an iron mangle too which was great especially for sheets!
