Birds and Squirrels

I spotted this "chick a dee" out our window, just sitting in the tree! If you are familiar with this bird, you know how flighty they are. So, seeing this one just sitting there for a few seconds, I was surprised and happy!!

Now look at this one!! He must have had enough to eat or is trying to cool down!! (Between the cold cement and also being in the shade!!)

Then he hopped up on the railing and..............

look at him...some of the suet (he was chowing down on) is still on his face...lol

Last night, I saw this Turtle Dove just sitting in the tree...for a long time. After I took a few pictures I realized it was resting and soon it went to sleep. smile..

I didn't feel good yesterday, but felt better today. So, I got to exercise and finished getting the newsletters ready to mail. That was a big accomplishment for me! ha!

Can you believe we're in a new month? 'Where oh where' did August go?? Do you feel the same way??

Our Flowering Crab

Yesterday afternoon, I thought after the rain stopped I've got to snap a few pictures of our flowering crab before the rain and wind blew them off. They are really beautiful this year.

Yes, he's back, day after day...smile And I made a mistake, he is a chickadee not a nuthatch. Whoops... (Thanks Theresa and Cheryl) Anyway, he is so cute, and seems to love to visit us everyday or should I say, several times a day...hee...hee I thought it was strange that we've never had one come to the window before. (I'm thinking its because the window is so dirty...lol)

Closer shot..
Last night my son and his wife came to visit. That was so nice, we really enjoyed it.

Tom spotted this single turkey galloping across our yard. He went out of site from the window, so Tom headed to the kitchen, expecting to see him out another window. But, about that time I saw him flying away...

I've been working in my office for the last couple days. I have several projects I'm trying to get done! Do you have lots of big or little projects? This week, I need to work on the MS Walk. Contacting donors, checking on t-shirts (designed by our granddaughter), (I will show when we get them!), and trying to get team members. Its less than a month away...(tick tock...tick tock..)

Better get some rest so I can put in another busy day tomorrow.
