Happy Birthday Jesse

🎈🎂

Today is my grandson's 24th birthday!! His parents have gone to Colorado to visit with him and help him celebrate.

Here he was in 2009 (nine years ago...wow!) Playing his guitar. He does love music!!

Today, they went to Guitar Center, in Centennial, CO. He and his dad had a ball testing out guitars. Then he moved on to the drums.. smile.. His Mom put up video's of them playing the guitars!! Sounds like they were all having a great time!!

Bye for now..and happy birthday to you Jesse!!!

Had a Visitor Today

Yes, this is me with my grandson Jesse! He came home from Colorado to attend his cousin's wedding! He looks so good! I think the air out there is good for him! I have heard it is beautiful country!! Don't you love this picture?? Randy is photo bombing it...lol  He's right there next to the heart..smile..

Our weather was lovely all weekend.  One day, I ran the air during the afternoon and the furnace that night.. uggg... One of my plants out front got bit by the frost the other night. sad... Seems like it's too early for that. But...I was looking at old pictures I had put up on Facebook a few years ago and our birdbath had a skim of ice on it.. Now that would be really sad...

Karen is still in the hospital, but are praying she'll be home tomorrow! Neither one of us can wait!!!

I watched Pretty Woman tonight... I just love that show. I was laughing out loud..(unusual for me!) But there are funny parts in it!! Love the escargot incident. Have you seen the movie before??

Better get to bed...hope all is well with you in your little corner of the world..

Touching the Clouds

Tom is still working very hard and getting stronger every day. smile.. Today was the first time I have not gone to see him.. (kind of sad..) I missed him, but I did need some time to pay bills and just lay around and do nothing...smile.. His sister did have lunch with him and I talked to him on the phone, so that helped. (I knew he was okay..)

My son and his wife are on vacation in Colorado, she posted this picture on FB. with this comment! smile..

Touching the clouds! Randy conquered his fear of heights to drive the (unpaved) Old Fall River Road through the Rocky Mountain National Park and take in this gorgeous view from an altitude of 11,796 feet! So proud of him!

At first I couldn't believe they really were touching the clouds....but they were!! How amazing is that?? I know I've seen them out of an airplane window, but the fact that you can stand on this earth and actually touch them, is almost beyond my imagination!!!

They saw the Chasm Falls..so beautiful... And walked the trail (soon being short of breath..I forgot about the heights doing that to a person!)

Look at this winding road, with drop offs on either side. I know they would have had to blindfold me and stuff me in the trunk to get me to the clouds....hee..hee..hee!

I am so happy for them, just to get away and enjoy a new adventure!

Tomorrow morning, my friends come. Sherry will do the cleaning and Diana will fix my hair!! smile.. Then I'll go see my honey this afternoon. Our weather is changing, the last couple days have been Indian summer like . Warm gentle breezes, putting a desire in you to go for a ride, to spend your time outside, basking in the warmth of the day.. I miss my Tom, that would have been something we would have done. (I know he misses not getting out too..) I did run to the doctors the other day and got my 'flu shot'. Have you gotten yours yet? I was a little sore yesterday, kind of achy also. But am sure today will be much better. That day, I knew Tom was in physical therapy, so ran out there, got my shot, (by then it was about 1:30 or so). So I drove through Mc D and got a "Big Mac", (I know they are terrible for a person..but it tasted so good...as I was starving by then!!) smile.. I pulled into a parking lot and ate my sandwich!!! Then off to see my honey with a chocolate shake in hand!!! A much needed reward for all his work!!

Hope you're having a good week, and thanks for stopping by. I will let you know how the meetings go this week.
