She Lays in Wait

In some ways it’s funny, but actually it’s annoying. It seems the minute I get out of my chair, "Winter" jumps in it. One night her and I were out in the kitchen. She was just laying on the floor. I started into the front room and she took off like a lightening bolt...I thought she was going to play (as she does that sometimes)....but oh no...she jumped into my chair before I got there!

And then there are days she gets behind me...like...'Mom, get out of MY chair"...ha ha

And finally she'll sit on the (narrow) arm of my chair, wanting...once again, to take possession of it! Silly girl!!!

I made this roast Sunday in the crock pot! It cooked all day and really got tender. And of course, who doesn’t love potatoes, carrots and onions with it! I had this for lunch today. Actually, it tasted better than it did Sunday.

Remember me telling you about the turkeys in my last post? Well, I was working in my office this afternoon and I heard..,'goggle-gobble-gobble', looked out and down the sidewalk they were going! I had to take it through the screen, so not a great photo. But there were several females walking ahead. See the blurry photo below.⬇️

We had a pretty sunset tonight. So glad our weather is nice.

On that note...I’m heading to bed.

Bye for now.🤗

Our Own Olympian

Are you watching the Olympics? They are so good! And they just amaze me at all their talents! The strength, the muscles and the determination each and everyone of them has...is astounding! Well, I am so proud to be able to share with you, that we have one of our own, performing tomorrow morning. Normally, I would just be rooting for the Americans-but how blessed we are to have a Sioux Cityan to root for and be so proud of! Shelby Houlihan's event will be Track and field women's 5,000m and she will be representing Iowa! To read more about her click on her name where I've created a link to her page!!

It is late and I need to get ready for bed. I have a doctors appointment early in the morning. Time for my yearly cholesterol check!!

Weather is nicer, but to have 90's later in the week, then upper 70's for the weekend!!

Randy and Vicky will head to Lincoln for his skin graphs Wednesday. Your continued prayers will be greatly appreciated!!

Blessings and good night...
