Short Blog...

This is what we woke up to this morning...so beautiful!!

Then we had an appointment on my brace....and Tom went out to start the van...and it wouldn't start...sad...So he got the pickup (which we've been having trouble with also..) and off we went. Since I've been working at my desk trying to get that newsletter done and out...my leg has swelled up again..'really sad'...So I was told to continue to wear my old brace until we get that swelling under control... Then we came home and I worked on the newsletter and finally got it done tonight! Yeah!!!

I wanted to share this picture with you...smile... we got some new accessories last week for our bathroom...and I think they are really different! I had pinks and rust before. And the rust rugs finally lost all the backing off of them... so it was time!!! smile...

Hope you had a blessed day!!! [Oh...by the way... I understand little Lorelai is just 'rolling and rolling'...she had learnt something  new!!!]

Oh how I love our mail lady...

Look what I got in the mail!!! Yes my give away I won from Praire Flower Farm!! Be sure and take a moment and hop over to her blog..you will be so glad you did!! She is an amazing lady... smile...

Look at this sweet message from Linda...Isn't she just the best???

And just see where it found a home...smile... My dining room wall was just soooo empty waiting for a special decorative item to arrive!!!! smile.... Doesn't it just look like it was meant to be?? smile...

Yesterday, Tom spent most of the day mowing the grass... He had mowed it high last time, then we got rain after rain...and the grass grew and grew....so when the day came that he was able to mow...that is just what he did....smile...

Friday we got a Dairy Queen and drove around in a quiet residential area where this monument is and over looks the city!!!

As you can see...it was raining!! But it was fun...we hadn't had a Dairy Queen in ages and it tasted soooo good. smile... When was the last time you stopped and had a Dairy Queen??? Such a simple thing to do... just a thought...

Decorating...

"Out and about"

Yesterday we went TV shopping...as soon we will have an updated family room in our basement. The things that these new TV's do is amazing!! They have surround sound that makes the TV seem like there are speakers all around the room. Then you can regulate the sound by music, talk, and something else (sorry I don't remember what the third thing was). So if the music is LOUD but when they go to talk you can hardly hear them...you can turn the music down and raise the talking part... Oh yes, it just goes on and on..... Well, after spending lots of time and seeing all the amazing things these TV's do...we finally decided on one. It's only a 40" so not too big.. but I think for the room it will work just fine.  A funny note...when we were leaving the store there was a HUGE, I mean HUGE-- TV sitting there, with a price tag of $1,500...I told Tom we should go back and have a talk with them..."man if we could get one that BIG for that price....I want that one!!" Tom was...like "what?? I can't believe it."..then he looked back and saw the real price of it...and realized the $1,500 was for the stand only...ha...ha.. And we gracefully walked out the door...smile...

Today was the beginning of my decorating...smile... I have a friend who is helping me to pick out paint, paper and drapes... She has such a great eye for color... when she left we felt like we had a great start to a 'new' home..smile.. As we progress with this I will have pictures up to show you.... 'anxious'....smile...

Hope you are having a good spring and like me anxiously awaiting what is to come...

I didn't go to church. Paul went to rodeo with Ernest. I rode bike up to Morey's. I saw Harold, Vera, Frank. It rained this afternoon. Melvin and Elaine came tonight. We got Cecil then went to Joe E. Brown in "Son of a Gun".  Cecil gave us souvenirs. I got a bracelet. Hear Erma thinks I'm pretty. Melvin got his scholarship.
