Santa Claus is Coming to see Tom..

Yesterday, the home had a Christmas party for it's patients. They also had lots of goodies to eat and drink.  They did bring a plate in for Tom. Since he's on a pureed diet, all he got was some jello, cheesecake and a strawberry salad. (Apparently he liked the jello the best as that was what he ate..

Santa brought him this pretty blue plaid blanket and some Hershey's mini candy bars.

A few days before there were carolers singing to them. These sweet children came into Tom's room and personally sang to him.. (they were really good singers!!)

I just had to share this with you.. I got this from Lacey (their mommy) the other day. Just 'smile' as you look at these beautiful sweet little girls. I'm always in awe when I see our Great Granddaughters! God is good.

Blessings...

One long lost Santa and more....

Here is one of the Santa's I forgot I had!... I know you're thinking how could that be possible, he is so beautiful!!!! But one year, we were healthy and able to put Christmas items away, by the following year it got harder to get at them. So, year after year we got  less and less things out, until this year when our friend came up and helped get them all out...smile...

Tomorrow, I'll show you another one, with a funny store behind it! You know how it is...we can all use a good laugh now and then. hee...hee...

Speaking of laughing...yesterday when we were out for a ride, I spotted this old outhouse! (Tonight I was playing around with Picmonkey and added a few features...smile..) thought I'd show you a  'before and after'...smile..  Actually, if I had to have one of these, I'd prefer this one...

It seemed so funny...to spot this old dilapidated out house, in amongst some new homes. It was cute to see the half moon above the door! I think the worst part was the poor roof!

Right now at this time of the year, I am so thankful that my days of using one of these is over!! Actually, I was thinking about it the other day, the thought of my Great Grandparents at my age today, having to go out in this kind of weather...time and time again during the day and night!! (unless they had a "pee pot" under the bed! hee...hee)

Did you ever have one at your home?? (I know I'm dating you...so you might not want to answer that question! lol)

Hope you're enjoying your weekend.......

more as it happens here in the city..............
