Rusty's Spa Day...

Rusty finally got to the groomers a couple weeks ago. She sent me this picture of him, having a 'bubble bath'! Isn't he the cutest thing?? It was a real spa day, that's for sure.. She also gave him a massage and I could tell it really helped his leg. (The poor baby has a lot of arthritis in it, and is on some pain pills.)

I think I need one of those 'Spa Day's'....how about you??

Bye for now..

It's a Scorcher

Goodness we have been having some terrible weather. This week our highs have been in the upper 90's, with heat indexes way over 100. The highest was 112 degrees, that was Wednesday. Today, Rusty finally went to the groomers. His hair was getting so long, and with this heat, I felt so bad. (And thought what a bad Mom I was...lol ) He looks so much better... This was him when we got home... he was tired so from a day at the spa!!! (As was I, even though I didn't make it to a spa..lol) The heat really is not my friend.. smile...

The other days, I've been staying in and looking out the window. The air has been running almost non-stop. The poor squirrel looked like Rusty in that last photo. ha! ha! He must be tired too.. We haven't had too many squirrels around this year. sad.. We've had some black birds (that wouldn't leave) that have chased the squirrels out of the yard... Lately we've just been putting out Safflower seed, and those birds have not been visiting...yeah!!

When I let Rusty out, every day...this Robin is running around the yard. Not sure, but I'm thinking it must have a nest somewhere close!!! smile... I keep trying to see where it goes. But normally, it just flies away!!!!

We also have Cardinals again. They love these Safflower seeds.

My son, Randy is still trying to heal. I'd love to share a photo, but they are something you'd never want to see. He needs so many prayers... The healing process will take a long time. As a mother, I wish I could take this time in his life away from him. He has an amazing family support, with such a loving and caring wife. His children, who worry and care for him. And grandbabies who don't understand why Papa can't pick them up and give them a big ((hug)). I would so appreciate it if you would continue to pray for him and his family..or just send good thoughts his way.

Also, prayers for our country as well as the world would be wonderful. We seem to be living in such changing and trying times..

My thoughts and prayers are will all of you out there in blog land...

After a Day at the Spa

Yesterday Rusty had his monthly spa day! smile... This is what he looked like when he got home! Handsome...  But check out that "look".  He's ready for his afternoon treat!!

Look at how happy he is to have his daddy get him! He's ready to go home and take a nap...lol  After he gets his treat of course. smile...

He's like, lets go dad!!! smile...

Not much going on here today, it was 'hot' and 'humid' so we stayed in. I made a meatloaf for dinner...I know...I know, I swore I wasn't going to cook again after yesterday's fiasco, but we needed to use up that other pound of hamburger. However, I should have listened to myself, I used the meatloaf mix and only used half of everything since the mix was for 2 lbs. of hamburger. Well, I did really good until I got to the milk and I put too much in. So, to compensate I added another slice of bread!! Yikes I really need to quit cooking...lol  No, it was okay, just a little loose. We all ate it though and there is none left.......so much better than yesterdays meal, that's for sure!..lol

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Lots of things going on here........

Tuesday (where did the week go??) we went back to the doctor and got our stitches out. Mine looks real good, Tom had pulled a stitch so had a small open wound. He's on antibiotics this week until it starts to heal!! But it looks good now.. smile.. and the best part neither of us have any cancer..yeah!!

Today, was such a blessed one..my daughter in love stopped by and brought the twins! Aren't they just adorable??  They were so....so good!

When they were getting ready to leave, one of them woke up and was crying...Rusty ran over to see what was going on!! smile... He actually was really good around them...

Actually, this was his spa day..smile... They posted this picture of him waiting his turn...ha..ha.. He looks kind of tired. Then he got home, and had company! The baby twins!! smile... like I said he was good with them, but after they left he 'crashed' in his bed...lol

Another great surprise and gift today...I received this Hometown Harvest cookbook from Gooseberry Patch for submitting a recipe, Old-Time Sage Dressing. They put out the neatest cookbooks! I have been collecting them for years! How about you, do you have any of their books? If you're not familiar with them be sure and check out their web page, they share so many fun and free items!

How has your week been so far??
