Happy SONday!!

Today was a lovely day...our temps were low but it was actually nice out! smile.... I snapped this picture when we passed the Floyd Monument...

After church..we went out to eat with our church family....

We had a great time...

As always we enjoy being with our friends, especially when we go to The Red Lobster!...smile... I had scanned the paper this morning and there was a coupon for them, and of course I snipped it...and stuffed it in my purse...smile...

How was your day? I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did...smile...

Colors

I'm always so impressed with colors...how they come up with so many differant shades...

Then this morning as I looked out the window and I saw a beautiful 'colored' sky..(which this doesn't really show the true picture I saw!..smile...) So, I realized...all those beautiful colors are actually from God's pallet!! Had He not created these colors for us...we would be living in a very gray and drap world....smile...

This morning the sun was shining so bright...Rusty found a nice spot and took a nap while he was basking in the warmth of it!!!

I hope you had a lovely weekend and did something enjoyable... we just rested and today we saw the movie "Dolphin Tale"...it was a fantastic movie.. if you haven't seen it...it's a great show to watch...but be sure to have a box of Kleenex near by!

Fourth Sunday of Advent

On this fourth Sunday of Advent , light four candles. The fourth candle symbolizes love and joy.
Come let us walk in Life.
Read: Isaiah 65:17-25
I will rejoice  in Jerusalem,
and delight in my people;
no more shall the sound of weeping
be heard in it,
or the cry of distress.
Isaiah 65:19

We had some children in the church do a program. It was so sweet! The kids did a great job.

Isn't this little guy just the cutest??? As these children brought the poinsettia's forward, we sang Feliz Navidad..

After church we went with some of our church family out to eat at the Red Lobster! Of course the food was great, but the company was the best!! smile... I hope you had a blessed SONday also!!

Happy SONday!!

This is the Third Sunday of Advent.
Come, let us walk in joy!
Read: Isaiah 34:7-13
The streams of Edom shall...become burning pitch....
From generation to generation it shall lie waste;
no one shall pass through it forever and ever.
--Isaiah 34: 9-10

The mantel is decorated!! Tom found the extra lights in the garage....and laid them on there!!! In the evening with the fireplace burning they really add to the warmth of the season....

This was our site out the window this morning! Overcast...but as the day progressed the temperatures warmed up! And surprisingly it was in the mid 30's! Tom wasn't feeling too good this morning so we stayed home, and attended church via TV. There is a program we enjoy! I hope you had a blessed SONday!!

A Little of This and That!!!

One kind word can warm three winter months...
Yesterday was the second Sunday of Advent.. Come, Let Us Walk In Hope... Read Isaiah: 10:33-34
The lofty trees will be felled, the tall ones will be brought low. Isaiah 10:33

My son Randy had a gig Saturday night out of town. On his way they called and canceled it. (As a Mom I was glad because it was snowing...and I figured the roads weren't that great!) Later in the evening he sent me this picture of him and Lorelai!! I said 'aren't you glad it was cancelled and you're at home??'  Of course...he said "Oh yes!" one on one time with his sweet granddaughter Lorelai!!! smile....

Granddaughter Lacey (Lorelai's mommy) was busy this weekend making these tutu's to sell on her etsy account! Here was a picture of her when she was young...drawing with sidewalk chalk!!

I had to laugh when I saw this on Facebook...Ashley wrote (in different fonts) "Our Dreams they are made of real things, like a shoe box of photographs with sepia toned loving." It reminded me of the time when she did it with sidewalk chalk....many years ago..smile...

I was so bummed last night as our Internet was down....nothing would fix it!  So I shut everything off, went to bed and woke up this morning and viola it was working!!! smile...  So I have been happy today! smile...

Hope you had a blessed weekend!!

Love these creatures....

We bought some suet last week, I was thinking the birds would enjoy something different. You know kind of like us...who wants to eat the same thing every day??? smile... So Tom put two cakes in one of these holders..Well.... before I knew it...this is what we saw...smile... Mr. Squirrel was stuffing his face...as you can see he had cake on his face.....smile... They are such little acrobacts and are just fun to watch!!!

I snapped this yesterday, but thought it was appropriate to share with you today! Sure hope you are having a blessed SONday and enjoying your family and spending some time with Lord. We went to church this morning, recieved the Lord's wonderful word, before we shared fellowship with our friends. Later we went up to a Syrian church for their carry out lunch. Oh my, was that good!! I ate about half of it, then finished part of it tonight for supper!! Our weather has been nice today..hope your's is also.

Be sure and double check the give aways on the left column..several end tonight. If you haven't signed up, be sure and do so now!! smile...

Blessings and have a fantastic week!!!

SONday, a day of rest!!

Our weather was lovely today, especially for a walk! I wore my new brace and it was like not having one on, as it was light as a feather....why haven't I worn it before??? Good question....... smile...

See how green this tree is?? Seems funny while all the other trees are loosing their leaves and their color, this tree doesn't seem to have changed much. Have you seen one like this one?? We use to call them "cigar trees"..smile...I know that is not the correct name...but ever since Tom or I were young this is what they were called...smile...

Then as I looked out the window this is what I saw...smile... So the robins are still here!! do you still have them where you live??

I hope you had a wonderful SONday...we had company and Tom made his famous mushroom soup, which we had with some french bread (yumm) and of course some of his leftover birthday cake!!! smile... Then we just rested and relaxed the rest of the day...

I hope your day was blessed and you were able to enjoy some of God's beauty today.....
