We headed off this morning to run some errands, we thought we'd get going early (wrong!) as it was to be a 'hot' one today.
Here is our front porch...with all the pretty flowers. I thought you'd like to see the horse shoe sign our granddaughter and her better half made for us one Christmas! Isn't it just so unique?? We love it!!
I spotted these roses outside the restaurant we ate at today. Who doesn't love seeing all these flowers blooming this spring!!
We had to get Rusty some pills, and since my camera quit working this weekend (sad) I had to get another one today. You know I can't live without a camera, its such a passion for me. smile... On the way out there all I could think about was, gosh I hope I don't see a once in a life time shot...ha..ha.. And thank goodness I didn't!!
We spotted one of these trees today, and I think it's the same one that Susie over at She Junks did a post on. Tom said it was what we call a 'cigar tree', but Susie said it was a Catalpa Tree. And the blossoms look like popcorn..and that is what these look like too. Check out her blog.
When we were just about home, I spotted this deer in someone's yard (behind a fence), he was big and eating these peoples plants and flowers. (sad) So Tom kept honking trying to get it to leave those pretty plants. But as we drove away he was chopping away on the plants!!!
It was "hot" today, actually it was 88 degrees, but tomorrow it will be pushing onwards up to 100 degrees. Now that is way too hot for June. What is your weather like??
Good night everyone.

Hi Gert, Deer are beautiful but we don't like them eating our plants! You captured a great image there. I like your front porch and your Stevens sign - very cool. I saw a doe and fawn in the pasture behind our house yesterday. The fawn was running and jumping - so cute. :) I did go out to my garden that morning and applied "Repels All" to the lilies and hostas. It is a product whose smell keeps the deer away. Deer are known to love lily buds and also hostas so I want to prevent that. No problems lately, but earlier this spring the deer ate crocus and tulips. Going to be hot again today! :( Oh well, it's better than -20!!!
What kind of camera did you get, Gert? I use 2 point and shoots. My little one is a Kodak easy share and the other is a Nikon Cool Pix. Not real fancy, but they work for me.
Hugs and blessings, Beth
i was wondering on your camera, too.
naughty deer! like that blooming tree and the stevens sign is awesome!
Hi Gert, You and Tom are right...that is a catalpa tree, it is called a cigar tree...I looked it up on line. You clever people. It's to be in the high eighties and in the nineties here this week. Well that's plain crazy...that's August temps. I have to remind myself of watering my flowers too. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
