Good Bye June~Hello July

Yesterday when I left the doctors office, their beautiful 'yellow' flowers caught my eye!! So, I stopped and took a picture. There was still rain drops on their petals.. It was so hard to see what I was actually photographing... That's one of the things I'm not crazy about, with the camera screens..

After a rainy night, the next morning the droplets started falling off of the leaves when a light breeze started blowing. As the sun glisten on these drops, it looked like it was raining again...

This was me trying to take a selfie of Granddaughter Lacey and myself.. (I need more practice...lol) Anyway, Lacey came into town to attend a MS Seminar with me. It was very interesting and a nice day!

This was some of the food that was served...you know me, I love to photograph food...smile.. I had the salmon and risotto, which was amazing. (That was the first time I've ever had risotto...Tom and I always talked about it and said how we'd love to try it! So, it was kind of bittersweet.)

Good news, my sister in law got home from the hospital this week. She seems to be doing okay, I know she very happy to be home!! As was am!

Hope this finds all of you doing well and looking forward to a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

Go-Go-Go!!

We headed off this morning to run some errands, we thought we'd get going early (wrong!) as it was to be a 'hot' one today.

Here is our front porch...with all the pretty flowers. I thought you'd like to see the horse shoe sign our granddaughter and her better half made for us one Christmas! Isn't it just so unique?? We love it!!

I spotted these roses outside the restaurant we ate at today. Who doesn't love seeing all these flowers blooming this spring!!

We had to get Rusty some pills, and since my camera quit working this weekend (sad) I had to get another one today. You know I can't live without a camera, its such a passion for me. smile... On the way out there all I could think about was, gosh I hope I don't see a once in a life time shot...ha..ha.. And thank goodness I didn't!!

We spotted one of these trees today, and I think it's the same one that Susie over at She Junks did a post on. Tom said it was what we call a 'cigar tree', but Susie said it was a Catalpa Tree. And the blossoms look like popcorn..and that is what these look like too. Check out her blog.

When we were just about home, I spotted this deer in someone's yard (behind a fence), he was big and eating these peoples plants and flowers. (sad) So Tom kept honking trying to get it to leave those pretty plants. But as we drove away he was chopping away on the plants!!!

It was "hot" today, actually it was 88 degrees, but tomorrow it will be pushing onwards up to 100 degrees. Now that is way too hot for June. What is your weather like??

Good night everyone.

Friday the 13th...

This was what our skies looked like this morning...Friday the 13th! smile... And it was the last picture I was able to take before my camera quit on me... sad... If you know me, you know I have another camera, but it's quite large and not easy to carry around like my little one. We called the camera store and told them the error I was getting, it would have to be sent in for repair and that would cost about as much as getting a new one.. this really was sad... (but then I turned it over to the Lord...and remembered what I always say. "Everything happens for a reason.") We did go out and get another one! smile....

When we were coming back home, we saw that a local church was having their fundraiser with the sale of loose meats, hot dogs, chips and pop! We just had to stop, as we always know their food is yummy! smile...

I spotted these the other day when we were at a stop light.. smile... this town has these planters all over. And they are so...so pretty.

So I will end this post with another picture of the Big Sioux River, that Tom took the other day... I'm anxious to see if the new camera will take as good a pictures with a distance as my old one did....

Our weekend is to be a "hot" one... Hope yours is cool and you have a wonderful one! smile...

"The Many Thoughts of Grace"

April 29, 1940: I had to go to Jacobson's after milk. The sun came out this afternoon. Took down the heading stove. Hear Melvin's heart is bothering him. Jack came home tonight. Was Francis glad to see him.
