Tonado Warning

 

This was our sunrise this morning...beautiful! As the day went by it continued to be nice. However, within the last hour, we've had tornado warnings, sirens going off and tornados touching down south of us. Prayers for all of us would be greatly appreciated..

 

 

I will make this short...(kind of like this little squirrels tail...0 hee...hee! That was a joke...

Stormy Weather

 

This was the tornados that went through some 55 miles from us. It totally destroyed a small town and there were at least one casualty...so sad...

 

 

This is what it looked like when they passed by. We had the tornado siren  go off several times tonight. We finally headed to the basement, even though I watched the birds and squirrels eating outside! Since the animals and birds were so comfortable, I assumed these storms would miss us. (thank goodness they did!) However, we're in for some nasty rain storms tonight. Just hope we will sleep through it all....smile...

What kind of Day did you have??

 

I spotted this the other day in front of the grocery store! Isn't that a cute fall display??  I would love to have all those flowers around my home!! And who wouldn't?? That is just another one of those things I love about this time of the year!!

 

 

I took this picture the other night when we went to the fish fry. Guess, as you know I love cloud formations!! And I thought these were really pretty, in their own way!

 

 

I just had to throw in a picture from our Red Hat Luncheon the other day. Our Queen Mother is in the blue costume...she is so pretty!! The top right one is our "costume queen", she has something different every month on her hat...and the bottom photo shows the two winners for the best costume!! Cute..huh??

 

 

(Clouds again!! smile..) Today was so busy...running here and running there.. One of the stops was to the grocery store...we hadn't been there in quite awhile, and I had to replenish some of the supplies we threw away when my friend helped clean our cupboards... I told the gal at the store Tom just hates it when I come along...ha..ha.. She just laughed...

 

Talked to my brother tonight, he was telling me all about the tornado that went through his town and also my son's town. (they're about 7 or 8 miles apart). Neither of their homes were damaged but lots of damage around them. He thought it was caused by the snow that they had north of us. Can you imagine all the snow they had?? Several feet..

 

I found this picture by Lesa Mickkelson Lee on Facebook, showing how Sturgis, SD looked at the bike rally this summer and what that same street looked like last weekend!! Too early!!

Crazy few Days...

 

This was the horrible tornado that went through our area last night. I was so worried about my granddaughter and her family. I was on the phone texting her along with my son. Turned out she was working at the hospital and was okay. Lorelai and her dad, were at his family. He got a call that he had to return home and go to work, as he's a lineman and there were plenty of electric lines down. He left little Lorelai with her grandparents. Then my concern was their home as it was close to where there was lots of damage. I found out this morning that it too was okay. Prayers really do work. If you need prayers, please let me know and we will all prayer for you and your needs.

 

Now, on a lighter note!! I finally was able to go to my first Red Hat luncheon this year. It was so nice to see everyone! I have missed them so much!! I walked into the room and everyone started to clap..and several jumped up and gave my lots of big ((hugs))! What a blessing these girlfriends are!

 

It was our Halloween celebration, so many were all dressed up in many different costumes! All I had was a spider web pin (can you see it??) smile.. Our Queen gave it to me many years ago, since I was the 'web mistress' as I had made a web page for our chapter!

 

Here is the rest of our porch setting, which includes my Mothers Day flower! It did really good this year, as you can see.

 

Our yard is so full of leaves...and they keep coming down. Tom's mower broke and we finally got it back yesterday. So, he will soon be 'vacuuming' them up...lol

 

 

Tonight we went to the monthly fish fry and got to visit with all our friends! My cousin, top right picture came so we could see each other and visit. smile... It was so good to see her. Oh, and by the way the fish was amazing!! smile...
